The table below is sortable on all of its columns and includes every rider to have made at least eight starts at the meet… Last year’s wins leader among jockeys, Ben Curtis, won 7-of-16 last week and has won 12 of his last 31 to establish a clear lead in the jockey standings about halfway through the meet. The table below is sortable on all of its columns and includes every trainer to have made at least six starts at the meet… Mike Trombetta went 4-for-12 last week, while Brittany Russell won three, leaving the two of them in a flat-footed tie for the wins lead… Six trainers won twice each: Jamie Ness, Ethan West, Ken McPeek, Kieron Magee, Mark Casse, and Saffie Joseph… Ness is third with six wins… Among the 66 trainers to have made at least six starts, Trombetta leads in added wins, comparing the number of wins a trainer has recorded to what the odds of his or her horses would have predicted… Trombetta has 3.26 added wins, while Russell has 2.10 (fifth overall)… The range of all trainers is 3.26 to (-2.93)… Jack Fisher (4-of-8) leads with 30.53% of available purse money earned, and he’s followed by Mark Simms (2-for-7, 25.56%)… McPeek ranks highest with 22.16% of purse earned among the trainers with at least five wins, while Trombetta is highest (21.29%) among those to have made at least 20 starts…
