Colonial Downs to race September 4

Colonial Downs officials announced that the Thursday August 22 card of racing, which was cancelled due to severe storms, will be made up on Wednesday September 4 at 5 PM.
The final week of Colonial’s summer season will now include four consecutive cards on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The finale on the September 7 includes five Virginia-Bred/Sired stakes worth $100,000 each and a $50,000 steeplechase stake.
Entries for the September 4 make up card will be taken on Thursday August 29, along with entries per normal for the Thursday September 5 program. For more information, visit colonialdowns.com.
