“Truth to Power” panel set for Apr. 21

The third “Truth to Power” virtual panel, focusing on diversity and inclusion in the Thoroughbred industry, is set for April 21 at 5:00 pm.

The Federico Tesio Stakes, the last local prep for the Preakness, will take place at Pimlico for the first time since 2015 when it’s run April 24.

The Chad Brown-trained Crowded Trade, third in the Grade 2 Wood Memorial, is being pointed to the Preakness, the trainer said.

Off to the Races Radio returns to the air April 17 with a show featuring trainer Kenny McPeek and Jeb Hannum, head of the Virginia Equine Alliance.

With problems with the racing surface ongoing, Laurel Park will not race its scheduled cards this weekend, and racing will shift to Pimlico April 22.
