American Pharoah among 35 invited to Haskell

Triple Crown winner American Pharoah heads the roster of horses invited to Monmouth’s Haskell Invitation to date, with more still to come.

Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races and the Charles Town Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association have agreed to terms on a new contract.

With announcer Dave Rodman in California this summer, Pete Medhurst, known for calling harness racing and Navy sports, will call Laurel’s July meet.

Injured jockey Sheldon Russell will meet with doctors Thursday and, if he gets the high sign, aim to resume riding in July.
